Camping In Utah
1. Snow Canyon State Park Campground
The Snow Canyon State Park is about 20 minutes outside of St. George. It is one of the most beautiful spots in the area and a terrific site to camp.
The park only has one campsite, with 33 sites. But it is well-designed and conveniently placed.
Electrical hookups are available at 14 RV campsites, with 17 sites classified as multi-use.
Some campsites are built in pairs, with a shared shelter but separated by a separating wall for privacy.
This campsite is often popular, and if you want to be sure of getting a spot, you should reserve ahead of time.
You can reserve the sites up to 16 weeks in advance on a rolling basis.

2. Sand Hollow State Park
The Sand Hollow State Park is a pleasant spot to visit on a hot day, with a large stretch of coral-sand beach and a mountain of dunes behind it.
People come here with their ATVs to race through the 15,000 acres of sand.
Those who have less active ambitions set up beach chairs and towels and relax in the sun or go swimming.
There are two approved campgrounds in the park and basic campsites scattered along the beach.
Tents and RVs are welcome in the Westside Campground, closest to the entrance.
Picnic tables with shelters, fire pits, and barbecues, as well as modern bathrooms and showers, are available at each campsite. The campsite is in front of a beautiful mountain range.

3. Quail Creek State Park
The Quail Creek State Park, near Hurricane, provides a charming waterside camping experience and is one of the area’s lesser-known campgrounds.
This is a tiny, peaceful campsite perched on a ridge above the gorgeous Quail Creek Reservoir.
The lake is the primary attraction here. People come here to fish for trout, bass, and crappie or put up their kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and other watercraft on the shore.
Mountain riding paths with pleasant, undulating terrain are nearby. There are 23 campsites available, all open to tents and RVs but do not have electricity hookups.
Each site is well-spaced and boasts a lake view, as well as a shaded picnic table, fire pit, and grill. The bathrooms are contemporary and include flush toilets.

4. Red Cliffs Recreation Area Campground
The Red Cliffs Campground at Red Cliffs Recreation Area, northeast of St. George and Hurricane, is hard to beat for seclusion, red rock vistas, and a genuine feeling of nature.
This is a BLM (Bureau of Land Management) campsite off the main road and ideal for unwinding.
Hiking and biking are popular pastimes, with paths departing from the campsite or close by.
The campsites are along Quail Creek or against rock cliffs and boulders, and they provide a great deal of seclusion.
The campsite draws local wildlife, such as squirrels, roadrunners, and various birds, thanks to its natural water supply and trees.

5. George KOA
At the entrance to the Red Cliffs Recreation Area Campground, the KOA campsite is a terrific place to start exploring the magnificent surroundings, including the Red Cliffs hiking trails.
The sites are secluded and nestled amid the trees. The campsite contains a pool that overlooks the hillside and the mountains beyond, giving it a resort-like atmosphere.
Showers, laundry facilities, mini-golf, and picnic spots are all available on-site.

Best Places To Visit Near Utah
Monument Valley
Red rock buttes rise from the orange desert bottom, reminiscent of an old western picture scene, and a horse and rider periodically pass by.
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park is on the Navajo Indian Reservation on the Utah-Arizona border.
This picturesque location, known for its stunning red mesas and stone pinnacles, has been the setting for several films and commercials.
Valley Drive is located within the park, a one-way, 17-mile self-drive dirt road that runs between the buttes and across the stunning environment.
Several pullouts along the road provide excellent chances for shooting and taking in the view.
Park City and nearby Ski Resorts
About 45 minutes southeast of Salt Lake City, Park City is a pleasant mountain town with some of Utah’s top ski resorts.
Park City Mountain Resort is just on the outskirts of town, with lifts that run directly from the town, and Deer Valley Resort, one of Utah’s most opulent ski resorts, is just down the road.
Both of these areas provide excellent terrain for skiers of all abilities. The 2002 Winter Olympics were in Utah Olympic Park, which is also nearby.
It now provides year-round activities for both children and adults, ranging from ziplining and hiking in the summer to bobsledding in the winter.
One of Park City’s most well-known activities is the annual Sundance Film Festival, in late January.
