Federal Partner issues relating to the Section 188
Nondiscrimination Regulations have been resolved. Work has begun to
prepare Interim Final Regulations for Federal Register publication.
Two ITA/Eligible Training Provider sessions were
held in Dallas, TX, on September 27th and 28th, to provide information about the
Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA). Approximately 120 potential
applicants attended. Applications in response to the SGA are due by November
8th.
Two useful State Planning tools were posted at
< www.usworkforce.org > on September 23rd: Timeline Charts for Submission of
State Plans; and a Readiness Checklist that will allow States and locals to
benchmark their progress in implementing the Workforce Investment Act.
