  1. Noteworthy Accomplishments Since the Last Report
    1. WIA State Plans

    2. Implementation Q's & A's Part 3 were posted to the USWorkforce.org web page.

    3. ETA published in the Federal Register of September 2nd an SGA for activities to aid Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Youth. From 12 to 20 proposals may be funded, to a total of $10 million.

    4. The ETA reorganization chart has been posted to the ETA home page <www.doleta.gov>.

    5. On August 30th & 31st, State Workforce Directors met in Snowbird, Utah. The meeting agenda included: One-Stop operating system; customer satisfaction; and FY2000 appropriations.

    6. OMB continued its efforts to resolve partner agency comments on the Draft Unified Planning Guidance. Completion of the process is expected before September 3rd. DOL will assist in getting the approved document published in the F. R. for comment.

    7. A preliminary JETT*CON 2000 meeting was held on September 1st.

    8. A Labor Market Information Forum was held in Savannah, Georgia on August 29th through 31st. An increased level of interest is suggested by the attendance of some 400 participants, compared to about 250 last year.
