ETA published in the Federal Register of September 2nd an SGA for activities to
aid Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Youth. From 12 to 20 proposals may
be funded, to a total of $10 million.

On August 30th & 31st, State Workforce Directors met in Snowbird, Utah. The
meeting agenda included: One-Stop operating system; customer satisfaction; and
FY2000 appropriations.
OMB continued its efforts to resolve partner agency comments on the Draft
Unified Planning Guidance. Completion of the process is expected before
September 3rd. DOL will assist in getting the approved document published in
the F. R. for comment.
A preliminary JETT*CON 2000 meeting was held on September 1st.
A Labor Market Information Forum was held in Savannah, Georgia on
August 29th through 31st. An increased level of interest is suggested by the
attendance of some 400 participants, compared to about 250 last year.
