    2. Leadership assignments for ETA's new organizational structure were announced by Assistant Secretary Bramucci on August 13th. Detailed information is coming soon to the ETA home page < www.doleta.gov >.
    3. Regional Town Hall meetings to gather input regarding preparation of the Final Regulations began this period, with sessions in Kansas City on August 17th, Atlanta and Chicago on August 18th, and Philadelphia and Dallas on August 19th. The remaining schedule is as follows:

        August 24 - New York City and Los Angeles
        August 25 - Seattle
        August 26 - Boston and Denver

    4. Updates to the Workforce Investment Act web page < http://usworkforce.org > include: the key issues identified in public comments on the IFR; information on the Town Hall meetings; an update on Stand-Alone and Unified Plan guidance; and an update on Performance Accountability.
    5. An SGA for H-1B Technical Skill Training Grants, funded from the user fees established under the ACWIA was published in the Federal Register of August 16th. Eligible applicants will be JTPA section 102 PICs; WIA section 117 WIBs that will carry out such programs through one-stop delivery systems established under WIA; or regional consortia of PICs or local boards. About $25 million is anticipated to be available, for about 15 to 20 projects. There is a 50% non-Federal matching requirement.
