    2. ETA's reorganization, mandated by the Workforce Investment Act, was the subject of an internal Town Hall meeting on August 11th. Detailed information is coming soon to the ETA home page < www.doleta.gov >.
    3. Planning has begun to assure continuity of effort on Workforce Investment Act implementation tasks, as the agency moves from the Task Force mode to the new organizational construct.
    4. Regional Town Hall meetings to gather input regarding preparation of the Final Regulations have been scheduled in each Region, as follows:

        August 17 - Kansas City
        August 18 - Atlanta and Chicago
        August 19 - Philadelphia and Dallas
        August 24 - New York City and Los Angeles
        August 25 - Seattle
        August 26 - Boston and Denver

    5. Partner Federal agencies continued work on drafting Planning Guidance for Unified State Plans. Publication of the final document is projected for December 1999.
    6. The Workforce Investment Act web page < http://usworkforce.org > has been updated to include information from Weekly Reports.
    7. The JTPA Closeout Instruction was finalized by ORM and OFAM and issued as TEGL 1-99 on August 3rd.
    8. The performance accountability consultation papers on Continuous Improvement and Customer Satisfaction Measures were published in the Federal Register edition of August 5th, with a thirty (30) day comment period.
