II. Noteworthy Accomplishments Since the Last Report
Maria Kniesler, Dolores Beran, Bill Rabung, and Laura Heald met with
Education staff on October 29th to discuss common definitions
for core indicators of performance. Another meeting is scheduled for November
19th to continue discussions.
The One Stop team initiated a Design Group of NO and RO staff to
plan for further WIA training sessions in mid-January.
A WIA Core Measures Training session was conducted in Denver by
National Office staff and consultant staff on November 2nd - 3rd. The session
was attended by 81 Federal and State staff from the newly reconfigured Region IV.
The draft (JTPA) Financial Closeout Technical Assistance
Guide is in clearance.
The partnership proposal from the AFL-CIO is under
review by ATELS (Apprenticeship Training, Employer and Labor Services).
Proposed Financial Reporting Requirements which
await approval by OMB.
An initial draft of a revised administrative cost
definition regulation has been prepared and is being circulated within
the appropriate DOL units for comment.
The Section 188 Nondiscrimination Regulations are
scheduled to be published in the Federal Register on or
before Friday November 12.
A design group comprised of Regional and National Office
representatives for the AJN inaugural technical assistance began discussion of
priorities and outcomes needed.
